What began as a dream in a single room became The Audio Box — a studio, an academy, an acoustics practice and a software toolkit, built patiently, one year at a time.
2019
The dream is born
The idea takes shape in a single room. Founder Goutam Bafna begins interning and freelancing while pursuing his formal education in audio.
2021
The Audio Box name
Goutam starts taking on work under the name that would come to define everything — The Audio Box.
2024
Acoustics takes shape
Small calibration jobs grow into designing, treating and building rooms from the ground up.
2025
1 June
The studio opens
The Audio Box officially opens its doors — a professional studio built on six years of groundwork.
2025
December
The Academy begins
Training starts inside the working studio, passing the craft on to the next generation of engineers and producers.
2026
16 July
Officially a place
The Audio Box is formally announced as a home for sound — Studio, Academy and Acoustics under one roof.
2026
The Toolkit opens
A fourth division: software and plugins built inside the studio. Destruction, an analogue saturation plugin, is the first release.
